Mission

Flower Fist Art Market is committed to providing the Sacramento area with a welcoming and community centered art space. Our goal is to empower local artists and makers with a consistent and inclusive space to showcase and sell art and locally made goods.
Flower Fist is committed to serving artists, makers, and community members with kindness and respect above all else.  We believe that defiant joy and cultivated gentleness are essential aspects of a holistic community, and that is what Flower Fist Art Market represents.

Flower Fist regular events and programs

Drawcademy art classes

Twice a week Drawcademy hosts drawing classes for all ages and stages of drawing skill. With different membership levels and instruction days, these classes are perfect for anyone wanting to learn more about drawing.

Grindhouse Comedy shows

Grindhouse hosts hilarious, talented comedians every second Friday of the month, taking national headliners and local talent and transforming our plant shop into an intimate comedy club with snacks. Always BYOB and opening doors with a free all you can eat hot dog barbecue, Mikel and Ethan really know how to put a show and community together. Get tickets here.

Free Art Supply Swaps

Throughout the year we offer a few dates for free art supply swaps organized and hosted by a local mutual aid advocate and artist. Anyone in the community is welcome to explore the offerings or bring their own art supplies to trade so that we can all waste less and keep creating. You can find almost anything and grow your own maker network.

Punk Rock Flea Market

Sacramento’s Punk Rock Flea Market comes to Flower Fist twice a year, bringing with it beloved local makers and artists, food, fundraisers, music, distro tables, and more. Vendors help each other, and local mutual aid networks are strengthened. Stay tuned for our 2026 dates.

Community Drop-off point

We work with local organizations as a drop off point for donations, for our unhoused neighbors through Sacramento Punks with Lunch. We also have a drop-off bin for Eco Press 916 for HDPE2 plastics that then get processed and remade into usable items, diverting them from landfills and shortening the recycling loop.
