Tallac Tuesday is launching a brand new figure drawing night at Flower Fist Art Market, Thursday 2/26 at 7 pm — Fine Lines! Like our Tuesday night lounge hangs, it’s gonna be casual, queer, creative, and just the right amount of cheeky. Whether you’re a seasoned studio queen, an art-school dropout, or someone who hasn’t touched a pencil since middle school, this space is for you. No gatekeeping, no pressure — just vibes and very good lighting.

This week’s model is the STUNNING Prettiboi Will (yes, that one — Badlands, Splash, and possibly your intrusive thoughts). He’ll be serving poses, lewks, and main character energy all night long. And art instructor Will Varner will be on hand offering guidance, tips, and gentle encouragement — because we believe in supporting both the arts and the artists.

All skill levels welcome. Bring your sketchbooks, pads, pencils, charcoal, markers, pastels, watercolor, digital tablets — whatever gets your creativity flowing. We’ll have a limited amount of supplies on hand, but they’re first come, first served.

This event is BYOB, so feel free to bring a little liquid inspiration (responsibly, of course).

Jackie Kashian is a stand-up comedian who has been seen on After Midnight, Conan, Corden, HBO, Netflix, and Comedy Central. She’s been heard on Bob’s Burgers and Strange Planet; and featured on NPR and Audible.

She tours 45 weeks a year and you’re in the right place to see if she’s gonna be in a town near you and come to shows. Her 5 comedy albums and specials have been number one on Amazon, Apple and Billboard. In addition to two podcasts “The Jackie and Laurie Show” and “The Dork Forest,” you can also read her writing in “The Comedy Film Nerds Guide to Movies” and the comic book “Comics Comics Quarterly”. Currently, she has a new TINY comedy special "LOOKING BACK" shot from the camera of a Mazda 6 in reverse.

40 years ago, Jackie was asked to go do an open mic. She was drunk at her first comedy show, and heckled Sam Kinison. Management came over and told her that "open mic is on Sundays." Three weeks later she did her first set. She loved it so much that she did it every night for the next year, and got a 1.8 that semester. The club burned down a year later so she finished University. She moved to Minneapolis and then to Los Angeles and has been doing standup ever since.

Sacramento Punks with Lunch is teaming up with Flower Fist to create space for getting active this Valentine’s Month. Come out and show yourself and your neighbors love by moving your bodies, building strength, and educating yourself on com.munity def.ense against IC€!! We stand for our neighbors!

We hope to create a space to grow together. We are aiming for a session to look like a group-work out component (30 mins-1 hour), and finishing strong with educating and practicing community defense tactics. We do not all need to be fighters, but we need to be strong, educated, and know how to at least be a better bystander for our neighbors being literally abducted.

If you have a skill you'd like to share, and find appropriate to teach this group, please DM us!

Our first session will be a warm up, work out "can you pass the lC€ physical?", and putting together/giving out free whistle kits!

If you aren't familiar with Ben Roy, he's been taking comedy audiences by storm since 2004, bringing an unparalleled energy and unique voice to the stage. Often compared to Lewis Black or Bill Hicks due to his passionate, ranting approach, Roy has a style that is definitively his own.

Roy cut his comedic teeth in Denver at the world famous Comedy Works. Since then, Ben has been selected to perform at the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival (for New Faces, The Nasty Show, and his own hour show), Just For Laughs Toronto, Just For Laughs Chicago, The New York Comedy Festival, Austin’s South by Southwest festival (where he was an official invitee for both music and comedy in the same year), and many more.

Roy has been featured on HBO's Funny as Hell series; as well as on the Comedy Central shows Adam DeVine's House Party, Corporate, @midnight, This Is Not Happening, and TruTV's Talk Show The Game Show. Ben has also released five stand-up comedy albums and was listed as one of Variety's Top 10 Comics to Watch. In 2023 his first streaming stand up special, 'HYENA', was released on YouTube by 800LB Gorilla Media. That same year NPR listed 'HYENA' as one of their Top Specials Of 2023. Along with fellow Denver Comedians Adam Cayton-Holland and Andrew Orvedahl (who collectively perform as The Grawlix), Ben also created, wrote, and starred in the original comedy series Those Who Can’t that ran for three seasons on TruTV and HBOMax.

He's also currently the host of two podcasts, 97.9 The Rat Race on the All Things Comedy network, and The Grawlix Saves the World.
